Kristy Dean, LMT

I personally subscribe to a healthy active lifestyle. I find that keeping active is the best medicine for staying healthy. My love for sports was my motivation for gearing my practice towards 'therapeutic massage work'. I thoroughly enjoy helping people to recover from accidents/injuries and I assist them in maintaining their continued well being.

I have held both a National and State of Florida Massage Therapy License since 1994. My first 4 years in the field of Massage Therapy were spent working with a well known local Chiropractor in Ft. Myers. This is where I learned the art and developed the passion for therapeutic massage. I worked very closely with the Doctor in patient treatment plans. Since that time I have worked with many other local Doctors and Physical Therapists to aid in the recovery and overall well being of patients.

Although relaxation massage (Swedish Massage) is definitely a modality I provide, my heart is in therapeutic massage. Including, but not limited to: Sports Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Heat Therapy and Active/Passive Therapeutic Stretching. I find that most of my clientele, enjoy a Swedish Massage, with emphasis on specific areas due to overuse or injury. Many will also schedule regular appointments (weekly or bi-weekly) for body work on specific injuries. Some of these injuries may be from overuse, sports injuries, falls/accidents, automobile accidents, pre-op or post surgery rehabilitation.

I also specialize in working with the elderly. Although I am well known for my deep tissue work, I also know how to lighten my touch as needed. Elderly clients benefit from the massage greatly because of the 'touch therapy' alone. But also massage aids in comforting those suffering from arthritis and other injuries where surgery is not an option.

"Touch Therapy" is healing in itself. Many psychologists will refer patients for massage therapy specifically for the touch therapy they strive for. "Pregnancy" massage is also very therapeutic for those expecting mothers. I have assisted in the well being of many "Mom's" during their pregnancy and even into delivery of their new bundle of joy!

I have built a solid rapport with my clientele, and have been servicing most of them for my entire career. Although I have moved my office a few times over the years, I strive to always stay in the same general location in Whiskey Creek, and have an office that is very conducive to patients with injuries, handicaps or the elderly. (No steps, easy parking, little walking) I look forward to servicing your massage therapy needs.

On the Personal Side

I am originally from Ohio but moved to Fort Myers, Florida in 1991. I have a loving family with two young boys ages 9 and 11. Both boys are professional child models working with several different agents in SW Florida. We're very proud of them both. While my practice is in Fort Myers our family resides in Cape Coral. Our family is very active locally, we support community sports and youth programs. I love my career because I have a strong Christian faith and deep love for people. Helping people is what I get to do every day on my job.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have regarding my services, or the benefits of massage therapy. Please leave a message when calling, as I am usually with a client. I promise to return your call promptly. Thank You and God Bless!
